The Truck Plus cam is for those guys wanting a little more top end power than the Low Buck Truck. The Truck Plus will add 75+ hp over the stock cam to a typical 5.3L application. The Truck Plus adds 15-18 hp past 5000 rpm, but does lose torque below 5000 rpm compared to the Low Buck Truck. The 585-lift Truck Plus cam requires .600-lift springs (avail soon). The Truck Plus cam can be used with a stock converter on a 6.0L and bigger LS application, but would be best with a higher than stock stall converter on the smaller 4.8L and 5.3L. This cam has been extensively dyno tested and has been run successfully NA, with every type of blower (centrifugal, roots and twin screw) and with a Turbo(s). This cam works very well under boost and requires a tune for maximum performance.

Recommended spring for our Truck Plus cam is the new BTR SK018 Beehive style valve spring kit. This is a great option for camshafts using less than .625" valve lift. This valve spring kit was designed to use our beehive locator, and factory retainers and locks. Features include tumble polishing for reduced stress risers.
The BTR SK018 valve spring kit works for a wide range of applications, whether you're looking for longevity in street applications, or for use in single valve spring only limited racing classes, BTR has you covered. As with all BTR valve springs, they have been extensively tested on BTR's in house Spintron machine and engine dyno.
