The Truck Plus will add 75+ hp over the stock cam in a typical 5.3L application. More power from 2650 rpm up making it a great choice for those wanting more torque and horsepower. The 585-lift Truck Plus cam requires .600-lift springs. The Truck Plus cam can be used with a stock converter but will perform best with a higher than stock stall converter. This cam has been extensively dyno tested and has been run successfully NA, with every type of blower (centrifugal, roots and twin screw) and with a Turbo(s). This cam works very well under boost and requires a tune for maximum performance.

I like the product packaging, but i was disappointed that it didn't come with a cam card

Installed this cam in my 09 Silverado 5.3. Cam idle sounds awesome and works perfectly with the stock converter. I’ve had no issues using my stock converter. This cam pulls so much harder from 2500 and up to 6400 !! My truck was already tuned before and got a reflash after this cam pulls. Feels like a totally different truck! Accelerating feels completely effortless now and passing is definitely not a worry any more lol. I drive 700 miles back forth for work every two weeks in my truck (lowered) and my fuel mileage has consistently been 20-22 mpg with this cam. I was worried I would lose some mpg but they have stayed exactly the same surprisingly. I was torn on cam choices and drove a friends truck with the chupacabra cam and wasn’t that impressed by it. His fuel mileage was terrible compared to mine. 13mpg his truck.
